Launches Business-Class Broadband Services

Leesburg, Virginia, December 15, 2004 – Roadstar Internet, Inc., the premier wireless broadband network provider serving Loudoun County and the surrounding region, today announced the completion of its high-speed, redundant wireless backbone which serves Loudoun County, Virginia.

Using state-of-the-art long distance radios based on OFDM technology, Roadstar’s Loudoun County backbone network is used to connect residential and business users to the global Internet at multi-megabit speeds. The completion of the wireless backbone provides redundant and backup facilities to ensure that Roadstar customers will not lose access to their mission critical applications due to an individual network element failure.

"We are very pleased to have completed this milestone” said Marty Dougherty, CEO of Roadstar Internet. “Having a redundant backbone ring throughout the county will allow us to continue to expand our service offerings. Additionally, having redundancy for all network elements is a key requirement for providing broadband access to business customers.”

Broadband Access for Business

With the completion of the backbone, Roadstar has also announced the launch of its new suite of business-class broadband access products. The TrueT1 and TrueMegabit line of access products start at speeds of 1.5Mbps and step up to multi-megabit speeds. All Roadstar business plans come with committed bandwidth, guaranteed response times, same bandwidth for uploads and downloads, and quick turn-around time for installations.

“The Roadstar business-class services bring True Broadband access to any size business in Loudoun County”, said Mark Fedor, COO of Roadstar Internet. “Businesses who found traditional T1 services out of reach in terms of cost and complexity can now start at true T1 speeds, have an easy upgrade path, all at an affordable cost. Broadband is here today in Loudoun and no business should be left out.”

The Roadstar access products also have feature options for providing quality of service controls, bandwidth management, and application controls which help any business get the most out of their broadband internet access.
